Home Page Stories
Rotarians from across the area have been contributing to help our Taylor neighbors who were victims of recent storms. The Taylor Club along with clubs from LaGrange, the District 5870 e-club and Assistant District Governor Gene (& Renee) Goeke. Presented Stacy Stork with the Salvation Army Taylor Service Unit with more than $3000 in checks and gift cards along with a box of oranges, toiletries and candy bars.
Rotarian Regina Jo Carlson is collecting new or gently-used luggage, backpacks and travel totes to benefit the clients of an area women's domestic abuse shelter. Donations of the luggage pieces filled with personal hygiene products are happily accepted. See the FULL STORY for a list of some things you might want to include.
The Rotary Club of Taylor and Congressman John Carter’s office recognized Dennis Richter for 50 years of perfect attendance at the Rotary Club of Taylor’s meeting on June 3. Julie Sharifian, Constituent Representative with Carter’s District TX-31 office, presented Dennis with a flag that flew over the United States Capitol Building on May 10, 2021, on the date of the local club’s 100th anniversary. A Paul Harris Fellow, Dennis joined the club in 1971, served as president in 1974-75 and 1984-85 and was chosen Outstanding Citizen of the Year in 1989.
